Visiting Spain or ordering from abroad? Here’s how it works.
Shop in Spain. Claim VAT back.
If you live outside the EU and take eligible purchases home with you, you may qualify for a VAT refund.

Use the country selector to see pricing for your destination.
Check the total at checkout

Allow for import charges
Local taxes, customs duties and carrier fees may be payable if they are not collected at checkout.
A few useful details
How much could I get back?
A €121 item including 21% VAT contains €21 of VAT—17.36% of its price. Your actual refund depends on eligibility, the applicable VAT rate and any provider fees. Ask us for the amount before buying.
When must I take my purchases home?
Take the goods out of the EU by the end of the third month following the purchase month. Complete Customs validation before departure and keep the goods available for inspection.
What if I leave through another EU country?
Complete validation at your final EU departure point. Bring a printed copy of your Spanish tax-free form for Customs.
Does every purchase qualify?
Eligibility depends on your residence and the goods you buy. Services do not qualify. Residents of the Canary Islands, Ceuta, Melilla and certain other territories may also qualify under specific rules. Ask our team about your purchase.
