ENVE's contribution to aerodynamics in cycling comes from an emphasis on real world speed, stability, and strength. The new Melee is the first ground-up aero bicycle developed using the Real-World Fast™ protocol with rider on board, shaped with aerodynamicist Simon Smart.
A Melee v2 with UL Black paint, in size 56 cm, can readily achieve a complete bike weight of 6.8 kg.
Achieving a 6.8 kg complete bicycle is not an insignificant challenge in the era of disc brakes, batteries, and the never-ending pursuit of more aerodynamic efficiency. To guarantee a sub 800 gram 56 cm frame, the UL Black Melee v2 features an ultralight clear over raw carbon with minimal graphics at a penalty of only 31 grams. Fast, functional, and feather light.

In 2022, Melee established ENVE's foundation in road racing, bringing versatility, performance and race-ready capability to a new platform. It won a Tour de France stage in 2024.

ENVE Melee V2 FAQ
What is new on the ENVE Melee V2 compared to the Melee V1?
The Melee V2 is 17 watts faster than the V1 at the same time as being lighter. Frame, fork and seatpost surface area is reduced by 7.5%, the new SES Aero cages and SES Aero Pro V2 handlebar with 1.2 mm tape add further gains, and a 56 cm UL Black build can hit the UCI 6.8 kg minimum.
How much does the ENVE Melee V2 weigh?
The frame weighs 750 to 850 g depending on size, under 800 g in a 56 cm UL Black. Complete bikes weigh from 6.65 kg (54 cm, SRAM RED AXS, SES 4.5 PRO) to 7.03 kg (56 cm, SRAM Force AXS), measured with pedals, sealant, bar tape and computer mount.
What tyre clearance does the Melee V2 have?
Maximum tyre size is 33 mm, with 31 mm the optimal measured width. Clearance was reduced from the V1 to save weight and drag while still fitting modern race tyres.
Which groupsets and components are compatible?
The frame uses a BSA threaded bottom bracket, UDH rear hanger, flat mount brakes and ENVE IN-Route internal routing. It is compatible with SRAM RED and Force AXS, Shimano Dura-Ace and Ultegra Di2, and mechanical groupsets. ENVE IN-Route handlebars and stems are recommended.
What sizes and colours are available?
Seven sizes: 47, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58 and 60 cm. Two finishes: UL Black (ultralight clear over raw carbon) and White Lightning (full paint with accent panels).
