What does ABUS security level 3 mean?

ABUS rates this 10 mm coil cable a 3 and describes it as good protection where the theft risk is low — it recommends it for entry-level and children’s bikes. For an expensive bike or long stops in the city, use a higher-rated lock and keep this one as a second lock.

Key or combination: which ABUS cable lock should I choose?

It is the same protection either way: ABUS rates the Primo 5510K (key) and Numero 5510C (combination) both 3, and the Microflex 6615K (key) and Tresorflex 6615C (combination) both 5. A combination lock means no key to lose and, as ABUS notes, suits a bike shared by several people; a key lock means there is no code to remember.

What is the difference between the versions with and without bracket?
