What is Assos’s Adventure Series?

Assos files Tactica in its Adventure Series, which it describes like this: “The ASSOS singletrack series. Mobility-enhancing fits. Built-in Protection. Flexible thermoregulating textiles. Integrated storage solutions.” The series name is on every Assos product page, next to the product’s own 1–5 ratings for endurance, racing and ride intensity.

How should I wash Assos cycling clothing?

Assos’s product pages don’t include care instructions, so follow the care label sewn into the garment. Assos sells its own Active Wear Cleanser, made for washing technical cycling clothing.

comfortFit

TRAIL fit is the ASSOS correction for ill-fitting baggies, featuring a more streamlined, low-volume cut that follows the body’s motion without restriction.

Featured fabrics

Type.OF11 is a high-density woven textile that resists abrasion without impeding breathability. Four-way stretch accommodates a full range of motion without sagging or deforming vertically, and waist fit is supplemented with a panel of Tech Sheen Mesh, which is inserted across the front as part of the zeroPressure Waist construction.

Water & Mud Shield Tec

A trail-specific technology that sheds water and mud, prevents stains, and actively expels internal moisture.

zeroPressure Waist

A soft, highly elastic waist construction that improves comfort and hold at the waist, minus any pressure or pinching.

Secure pockets

A taped, zippered pocket and a ramp-secured pocket provide reliable storage for ride essentials and larger items.

When to use it

Layer over TACTICA Liners for protection, water repellency, and additional storage capacity in warm conditions.

Assos: measure around the fullest part of your hips, then factor in your height. Assos apparel is cut to mirror your body on the bike — it’s normal to feel bib straps and fabric pull while standing; in the riding position the garment clicks into place.

How to measure

Chest: around the fullest part, under the arms. Waist: around your natural waistline. Hips: around the fullest part. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

Description

Superlight, ultrabreathable over shorts, engineered with durable, abrasion-resistant textiles, secure zeroPressure Waist construction, and a treatment protective against water and mud. The new TACTICA Cargo Shorts feature critical updates, including lighter materials and construction and a baggier fit to accommodate pads and Assos’s High Performance liner. They also adapt the zeroPressure Waist technology from Assos’s road equipment, which uses highly elastic material and silicone grip to lock the shorts in place with an unrestrictive, frictionless hold. The Water & Mud Shield Tec is unique to TACTICA, repelling trail spray and mud while expelling internal moisture and drying fast to reduce weight gained through lingering moisture. Two secure pockets provide reliable storage, and bonded hems eliminate weight and friction between system layers. Reflective strips on the back of the legs help maintain visibility while riding to and from the trailhead.
