They’re Assos’s core women’s racing and endurance bibs. Dyora R S11 (list €200): second-skin racingFit, compressive Type.911, X-Frame suspension, 9 mm race insert, ride intensity 4/5. Uma GT S11 (€160): streamlined regularFit, lighter QUARTZ fabric, rollBar bracing, 12 mm endurance insert, ride intensity 3/5. Pick the Dyora R for fast riding in a low position; the Uma GT for everyday and longer steady rides with more cushioning. Both use the same women’s size chart.

What is Assos’s Endurance Series (Mille and Uma)?

Mille | Endurance (men) and Uma | Endurance (women) are what Assos describes as its complete series for long-distance riding: streamlined regularFit cuts, ultra-plush inserts and muscle-hugging, temperature-regulating fabrics. Our Mille GT, GTS, GTO and GTS Spring Fall, and the Uma GT, GTV and GT Half Shorts, are in it. Assos rates these bibs 4/5 or 5/5 for endurance; for racing, look at Equipe | Racing (men) and Dyora | Racing (women).

racingFit or regularFit — what’s the difference?

They’re Assos’s two main cuts. racingFit (Equipe and Dyora) is, in Assos’s fit guide, a close, performance-oriented fit with compressive fabrics for high-intensity riding — compared with regularFit it feels noticeably tighter by design. regularFit (Mille and Uma) is a balanced technical fit with moderately compressive fabrics: supportive without the tight feel of the Racing models. Assos uses the same size chart for both, so the difference is the feel, not the size.

Which Assos insert (chamois) is right, and how long a ride is it for?

Assos doesn’t give ride durations; it publishes each insert’s thickness and a 1–5 “ride intensity” rating. Race inserts are thin and firm: Equipe R / Dyora R S11 and Equipe RS S11 use a single 9 mm layer (intensity 4/5 and 5/5). Endurance inserts add cushioning: Mille GT / Uma GT S11 12 mm (3/5), Mille GTS S11 twin 9 + 4 mm (4/5), Mille GTO S11 twin 11 + 10 mm (4/5). Dyora RSV and Uma GTV use 9 mm with 4 mm ultraDistance pads under the sit bones. Thicker isn’t automatically better for long days: Assos builds the 9 + 4 mm RSV for ultra-endurance racing, for riders in an aggressive position.

Do Assos women’s bib shorts make nature breaks easy?

Of the women’s bibs we carry, only the Uma GTV S11 has a dedicated system: bisiClick, twin magnetic closures on the bib straps that Assos says are intuitive to release and reconnect but won’t open by accident — Assos designed it for quick natural breaks on long days. The Dyora R, Dyora R Spring Fall, Dyora RSV, Uma GT and Tactica pages describe no such feature, so with those you lower the straps as with any bib short.

How do Assos women’s bib shorts fit, and which size should I pick?

For women’s shorts and bibs, Assos sizes by hips: measure around the fullest part of your hips, then factor in your height, and check Assos’s chart in the size guide (XS is 80–86 cm hips, XXL from 115 cm). Assos cuts its bibs to mirror your body on the bike: it’s normal to feel the straps and fabric pull while standing, and the shorts “click” into place once you’re in the riding position. Assos uses the same chart for its racingFit and regularFit models.

What is the EF edition, and is it different?

The EF versions carry the EF Pro Cycling team’s 2026 graphics — Assos says the kit is called WE RIDE IN PEACE and nods to early spaceflight suits. Underneath they are the same platform: Assos’s own pages describe the Equipe R and Dyora R EF on the R S11 platform and the Mille GT and Uma GT EF on the GT S11, with the same fabric, insert and fit. So sizing, insert and care are the same as the plain version; choose on looks. Assos’s data does rate the Equipe R and Dyora R EF editions 5/5 for racing and ride intensity (4/5 on the standard versions), and lists them higher (€280 / €250 vs €200).
