Half shorts or bib shorts?

Assos made the Uma GT Half Shorts S11 for the moments when bib straps get in the way: casual café rides, indoor training and days too hot for straps. Instead of straps, a hipClick waist of elastic and mesh layers with a high rise locks the shorts and the insert in place; the insert is the same 12 mm GT S11 platform as the Uma GT bib shorts. For long road days, the Uma GT S11 bib shorts add rollBar bracing on the straps. The half shorts come in Short and Long legs.

What is Assos’s Endurance Series (Mille and Uma)?

Mille | Endurance (men) and Uma | Endurance (women) are what Assos describes as its complete series for long-distance riding: streamlined regularFit cuts, ultra-plush inserts and muscle-hugging, temperature-regulating fabrics. How do Assos women’s bib shorts fit, and which size should I pick?

For women’s shorts and bibs, Assos sizes by hips: measure around the fullest part of your hips, then factor in your height, and check Assos’s chart in the size guide (XS is 80–86 cm hips, XXL from 115 cm). Assos cuts its bibs to mirror your body on the bike: it’s normal to feel the straps and fabric pull while standing, and the shorts “click” into place once you’re in the riding position. Assos uses the same chart for its racingFit and regularFit models.

QUARTZ + Sens AIR

A lightweight, breathable warp knit with permanent odorControl; Assos says its true black doesn’t turn white or see-through when stretched, and 80% of it is pre-consumer recycled polyamide. A band of Sens AIR across the lower stomach removes pressure in aggressive positions.

regularFit

Assos’s streamlined regularFit with body-contoured shaping and fewer seams, to remove friction for all-day comfort and easy layering. In Assos’s fit guide, regularFit is a balanced technical fit with moderately compressive fabrics: supportive without the tight feel of the Racing models.

PILtec Plug-In

A light, very breathable textile band at the leg opening. The microdot silicone is invisible from outside but holds the leg in place, wet or dry.
