BlackChili Compound

Continental’s signature tread compound and its answer to the balance between grip and rolling resistance. Continental says the latest polymers, specially developed carbon-black particles and filler materials give it its performance on road, gravel and mountain-bike tyres, from time trials to downhill.

SafetySystem Breaker

A Kevlar-reinforced, high-strength nylon fabric. Continental says it is puncture- and cut-resistant yet light and flexible, protects the carcass against foreign objects and lengthens the tyre’s life without significantly adding weight or rolling resistance, and gives particularly comfortable handling.
