Pogi’s Superlight or KR0 Evo Superlight?

Both use DMT’s Superlight carbon monocoque sole; the difference is closure and upper. The Pogi’s Superlight laces up, stores the laces in its AeroSafe pocket and weighs 195 g (size 42, DMT), at €439 RRP. The KR0 Evo Superlight has two BOA Li2 dials, an Aeroflex knit upper with a TPU instep band and Ice-Key, 215 g, €409 RRP. DMT itself suggests the Pogi’s for long, steady efforts, time trials and track, and the KR0 Evo for powerful, explosive riders who want to adjust the dials mid-race.

Is a DMT carbon sole stiff enough to race?

Yes for the road models we carry, though DMT publishes no stiffness index, so there’s no number to compare with Fizik’s or Shimano’s scales. DMT describes the Superlight sole on the Pogi’s and KR0 Evo Superlight as a high-rigidity carbon monocoque. Reviewers call the KR1’s sole “phenomenally stiff” (BikeRadar) and “super-stiff” (road.cc), and cycletechreview found the SH10’s carbon sole “incredibly stiff”. Pogačar and Viviani race DMT.

How does a knit upper fit — does it stretch?

DMT says its knit adapts naturally to the shape of the foot, and describes the KM30’s as a light-stretch knit, so it wraps closely like a sock rather than a stiff shell. Reviewers agree on the comfort but note the flip side: Cycling Weekly felt the KR1’s foot move slightly under hard efforts, and cycletechreview found the SH10 snug, in the slim Italian style. DMT publishes no advice to size up or down for knit — use the chart for your model. The hybrid SH10 and MH10 add a microfibre instep and heel for extra hold.

How does DMT sizing work — is it the same on every model?

Not exactly. DMT publishes a separate chart for each model, with a length in centimetres per EU size, and the lengths differ: EU 42 is 26.6 cm on the Pogi’s Superlight, 26.8 cm on the KR0 Evo Superlight, KR1 and KM0 Evo, 27.04 cm on the SH10, MH10 and KM30, and 26.5 cm on the IAAN Gravel. What is DMT’s Ice-Key tag?

An NFC chip in the left shoe of the Pogi’s Superlight, KR0 Evo Superlight and KM0 Evo. Through DMT’s app you store your personal and medical details (blood type, allergies, medication), documents and emergency contacts; in a crash, rescuers can read the chip to identify you, and the app can share your location when you send an SOS.

Carbon sole

The sole plate is made of carbon fibre rather than nylon or carbon-reinforced nylon. Carbon is stiffer and lighter, so less of your effort is lost to flex; the brand’s stiffness index is in the spec table.

Superlight carbon sole

DMT’s new Superlight sole: a monocoque high-stiffness carbon construction for immediate, direct power transfer even under high loads, with a reduced stack height and optimised foot-to-pedal distance that DMT says sharpen pedalling efficiency and feel.

Aeroflex Knit upper

A next-generation knit made from a technical yarn that DMT says balances aerodynamics, durability and breathability and adapts naturally to the foot. A light microfibre tongue eases entry and reduces friction; a micro-perforated TPU instep band adds stability and spreads pressure.

Dual BOA Fit System Li2

Two BOA Li2 dials allow precise, multi-directional micro-adjustment, quick to fine-tune even while riding. DMT says the system resists impacts, abrasion, dust and debris, keeping a secure, personalised fit in any conditions.

Ice-Key life-saver tag

The left shoe carries an NFC tag. In an emergency, rescuers can scan it to identify the rider and read medical data stored through DMT’s app (blood type, allergies, medication), plus emergency contacts and documents; the app can also share your location with an SOS.
