The MH10 is DMT’s first hybrid knit MTB shoe: knit plus microfibre instep strap and heel, two BOA L6 Dial Z dials and the Air Tech carbon sole, at €289 RRP. Pick the KM0 Evo for XC racing and Michelin grip; the MH10 for a supportive, lower-priced dual-dial carbon shoe.

Both sit on DMT’s Air Tech carbon sole with 8 mm of cleat adjustment. The KM30 is full 3D knit with a single BOA L6 dial and interchangeable rubber lugs, at €239 RRP — the lightest-feeling, simplest option. The MH10 adds a microfibre instep strap and heel to the knit and uses two BOA L6 Dial Z dials that tension the upper and lower foot independently, at €289 RRP. If you like a firm, adjustable hold for racing or rough trails, the MH10; for comfort and price, the KM30.

How does a knit upper fit — does it stretch?

DMT says its knit adapts naturally to the shape of the foot, and describes the KM30’s as a light-stretch knit, so it wraps closely like a sock rather than a stiff shell. Reviewers agree on the comfort but note the flip side: Cycling Weekly felt the KR1’s foot move slightly under hard efforts, and cycletechreview found the SH10 snug, in the slim Italian style. DMT publishes no advice to size up or down for knit — use the chart for your model. The hybrid SH10 and MH10 add a microfibre instep and heel for extra hold.

How does DMT sizing work — is it the same on every model?

Not exactly. DMT publishes a separate chart for each model, with a length in centimetres per EU size, and the lengths differ: EU 42 is 26.6 cm on the Pogi’s Superlight, 26.8 cm on the KR0 Evo Superlight, KR1 and KM0 Evo, 27.04 cm on the SH10, MH10 and KM30, and 26.5 cm on the IAAN Gravel. 3D Knit upper

DMT’s Engineered 3D Knit uses technical yarns and variable knit structures and thicknesses for an upper so light, DMT says, you hardly feel it: less bulk, a close fit, strong breathability and fast drying.

BOA L6 Dial Z (double)

Two BOA L6 Dial Z dials built for dual-dial shoes. DMT lists a smaller-diameter, aerodynamic and precise design, quick closure and zonal fit: the upper and lower parts of the foot are tensioned independently.

Microfibre instep strap and heel

The hybrid build adds microfibre to the knit: an instep strap with integrated webbing and a microfibre heel with a new injected heel counter, which DMT says give extra support and adjustability over a full-knit shoe.

Stand on a sheet of paper with your heel against a wall, mark the tip of your longest toe and measure the distance in centimetres. Measure both feet and go by the longer one.
