What changed in the 2025 Mechanism Jersey?

For 2025 PNS revised the low-cut collar and made the side pocket a more durable single-layer patch with an in-seam zip and a stay-down puller; the back pockets are unchanged. Cyclingnews’ 2025 review confirms the changes.

Mechanism, Mechanism Pro or Essential?

Mechanism is PNS’s race-fit collection: a tight, aerodynamic cut for fast-paced training, intervals and racing. The Mechanism Pro goes further: PNS describes a radical second-skin feel and 4D body wrap, with 4D stretch-woven fabric developed for PNS, laser-cut edges and a mix of stitched and bonded seams. The Essential is made with comfort in mind: PNS suits it to low-intensity rides where comfort is paramount, with a shorter collar and slightly longer sleeves.

How does the Mechanism Jersey fit, and which size should I pick?

PNS sizes by body measurements: measure your chest around the fullest part and your waist around the slimmest, then check the chart in the size guide (for example, M is 96–101 cm chest). It is a tight, aerodynamic race fit, with a shortened front and a longer back for the riding position; PNS’s size guide shows a 188 cm model in M. Reviewers describe a short, aggressive cut with rear pockets that sit high by design (road.cc, Cyclingnews); Cycling Weekly found the 2025 version true to size.

How should I wash a PNS jersey?

PNS recommends a pre-wash before first use, then washing inside out with the zip closed, on a gentle 30 °C cycle with low spin and a non-bio detergent. No bleach, fabric softener, tumble dryer or hot iron: let it air dry, and don’t mix light and dark colours. The garment label is the final reference.
