ADDIX Race

Schwalbe’s racing compound: it says ADDIX Race, together with the tread, gives low rolling resistance in the centre and high grip on the shoulders.

Super Race (Race Pro) casing

Schwalbe’s Race Pro carcass, 67 EPI: it describes it as fast, light and smooth while keeping high puncture and flat protection, and says it rolls smoothly even on rough terrain.

V-Guard

A light, cut-resistant layer under the tread for puncture protection.

Tubeless Ready, hookless compatible

Schwalbe states its TLR tyres are designed for hookless rims (respect the rim’s maximum pressure and width). Tubeless lowers rolling resistance and seals small holes; they can also run with an inner tube.

Fair Rubber

Made with Fairtrade natural rubber — Schwalbe pays a Fair Rubber premium per kilogram — and carbon black from its own tyre recycling, which Schwalbe puts at an 80 % CO₂ reduction.

E-25

Schwalbe’s E-25 recommendation: suitable for pedelecs with assistance up to 25 km/h, with safety as the main criterion — so it also fits e-gravel bikes.

Frequently asked questions

Answered from this product’s published information. Questions about orders or anything else go to our team.

G-One RS, R or RX — which Schwalbe gravel tyre should I choose?

Schwalbe says the surface decides. The RS is its semi-slick for asphalt and hard gravel, built for maximum speed. The R is the all-rounder, fast on asphalt but also good off-road — the safe choice on unfamiliar routes. The RX is for rough, loose and muddy ground, with the most grip. All three PRO versions share the same ADDIX Race compound, Super Race casing and V-Guard protection; only the tread changes.

Is the tan G-One a different tyre from the black one?

No. The tan version is what Schwalbe calls “Transparent Sidewall”: same tread, compound, casing and, per Schwalbe’s tables, the same weight per width as the black one — only the sidewall colour changes.

Can I run the G-One PRO on hookless rims?

Yes. Schwalbe states its TLR tyres are designed for hookless rims, and lists the G-One PRO tyres as hookless-compatible. Stay within your rim’s maximum pressure and Schwalbe’s specified widths.

What pressure should I run in the G-One?

Schwalbe gives no fixed number: it depends on your weight, the tyre width and the surface, and it points to its free Schwalbe Airmax app for a personal recommendation. The maximum it allows falls as the tyre gets wider — on the PRO, 4.5 bar at 40 mm, 4 bar at 45 mm and 3.5 bar at 50–55 mm.

I don’t race. Is a G-One PRO still worth it?

Schwalbe’s answer is yes: you still get more puncture protection at the same weight, better rolling and control in corners. If price matters more than grams, the G-One RX with the Race casing and RaceGuard is the lower-cost option on the same RX tread.
