Power · short nose

The Power shape: Specialized’s short-nose saddle (240 mm long) with an extra-wide, elongated Body Geometry channel, loved by riders worldwide and made for aggressive positions.

Level 1 padding

Specialized’s lightest level of padding, super-light PU foam for the most direct connection to the bike.

7x9 mm carbon rails

Ultra-light oversized carbon rails. Specialized notes that 7x9 mm rails are not compatible with seatposts whose side-load clamps are made for 7 mm round rails: check your seatpost.

SWAT mounts

SWAT-compatible mounts moulded into the saddle base, for sleek, integrated storage.

Body Geometry

Specialized’s ergonomic design method since 1997: every saddle starts with pressure mapping, anatomical measurement and testing with riders, and Specialized says its patented Body Geometry designs are lab-tested to ensure blood flow to sensitive arteries.

Frequently asked questions

Answered from this product’s published information. Questions about orders or anything else go to our team.

Which saddle width do I need?

Specialized sizes saddles by your sit-bone width. Measure it at a Specialized dealer, or at home: sit on a piece of cardboard on a chair with your knees at 90°, mark the centre of each sit-bone impression and measure between the dots. Then use Specialized’s own mapping in the size guide on this page: up to 100 mm → 130 mm saddle, 101–120 → 143, 121–140 → 155, 141–160 → 168, 161–176 → 180, 177–195 → 200. If your width isn’t made in that model, Specialized’s size tool picks the nearest one available.

Mirror, MIMIC or foam: what’s the difference?

Mirror is Specialized’s 3D-printed padding, a honeycomb lattice printed from liquid polymer whose density is tuned zone by zone for sit-bone support; Specialized claims clear pressure reductions over foam (for example up to 26% on the Romin EVO). MIMIC is a multilayer soft-tissue technology that Specialized developed for women, to maintain equilibrium and reduce swelling in soft tissue. Foam saddles use Specialized’s padding levels, from Level 1 (lightest, most direct) to Level 5 (softest, for casual riding).

S-Works, Pro, Expert or Comp: what changes?

Mostly the materials and the weight. S-Works saddles use carbon shells and oversized carbon rails and are the lightest (the S-Works Power weighs 159 g in 143 mm). Pro models keep the same Mirror pad as the S-Works but use titanium rails and a nylon base with reclaimed carbon. Expert and Comp models use hollow titanium or Cr-Mo rails, and the Comps use foam, gel or MIMIC instead of Mirror. The shape is the same across a family; the widths on offer vary by model.

Power, Power EVO, Romin EVO or Phenom: which shape?

Power is Specialized’s short-nose saddle with a wide, long channel, made for aggressive positions; the Power EVO evolves it for riders who move fore and aft, with a 1 cm wider nose, an invisible cutout and longer rails. Romin EVO is a traditional long, curved saddle for low, aero race positions that still lets you slide back and forth. Phenom is long (27 cm on the Mirror versions) and flat, popular in MTB, gravel and road. Bridge is broad and flat, for on- and off-road control.

Do oversized 7x9 mm carbon rails fit my seatpost?

Not always. Specialized notes that its oversized 7x9 mm carbon rails are not compatible with seatposts whose side-load clamps are designed for 7 mm round rails. Check your seatpost’s clamp before buying; if it only takes 7 mm round rails, choose a Pro, Expert or Comp model with titanium or Cr-Mo rails.

Specialized: sit on a piece of cardboard on a chair with your knees at 90° (raise your feet if needed), stand up, mark the centre of each sit-bone impression and measure between the two dots. If a width isn’t made in a given model, Specialized’s size tool picks the nearest width that model comes in. A Specialized dealer can also measure your sit bones.

How to measure

Chest: around the fullest part, under the arms. Waist: around your natural waistline. Hips: around the fullest part. Keep the tape snug but not tight.
