What is Assos’s Racing Series?

Assos files Equipe (men) and Dyora (women) in its Racing Series, which it describes like this: “The definitive speed series. Second-skin aerodynamic fits. Compressive thermoregulating textiles. Ultralight WorldTour-proven designs.” The series name is on every Assos product page, next to the product’s own 1–5 ratings for endurance, racing and ride intensity.

racingFit or regularFit — what’s the difference?

They’re Assos’s two main cuts. racingFit (Equipe and Dyora) is, in Assos’s fit guide, a close, performance-oriented fit with compressive fabrics for high-intensity riding — compared with regularFit it feels noticeably tighter by design. regularFit (Mille and Uma) is a balanced technical fit with moderately compressive fabrics: supportive without the tight feel of the Racing models. Assos uses the same size chart for both, so the difference is the feel, not the size.

How should I wash Assos cycling clothing?

Assos’s product pages don’t include care instructions, so follow the care label sewn into the garment. Assos sells its own Active Wear Cleanser, made for washing technical cycling clothing.

Assos’s AEPD 11 racingFit is a second-skin, aerodynamic silhouette designed to envelope the body in 360-degree compression and stability.

Featured fabrics

The chest, shoulders, and arms are wrapped in the midweight RX textile, a soft, brushed insulator with a durable warp-knit construction. OSMOS Medium extends insulation across the stomach with a breathable, warp knit structure that provides compressive support to stimulate blood circulation. A lightweight rear panel of Stabilizator V11 locks vertical stretch to prevent sagging pockets and expels excess heat.

zeroPressure Waist

A soft, highly elastic waist construction that improves comfort and hold, minus any pressure or pinching.

struzzoKragen

A collar of lighter, soft insulation with a comfort fit. Actively modulates the personal microclimate without requiring unzipping and exposing the throat to cold air.

Perforated Stretch Pockets

Highly elastic material that stretches to securely wrap contents, with additional breathability from perforations.

When to use it

For cool, dry conditions, layer over a skin layer and pair with the DYORA R Spring Fall Bib Shorts. In colder or wet conditions, layer under a DYORA RS rain shell.
