Assos files Equipe (men) and Dyora (women) in its Racing Series, which it describes like this: “The definitive speed series. Second-skin aerodynamic fits. Compressive thermoregulating textiles. Ultralight WorldTour-proven designs.” The series name is on every Assos product page, next to the product’s own 1–5 ratings for endurance, racing and ride intensity.

How should I wash Assos cycling clothing?

Assos’s product pages don’t include care instructions, so follow the care label sewn into the garment. Assos sells its own Active Wear Cleanser, made for washing technical cycling clothing.

Hawk-01 is a close-fitted woven textile with a rhombus construction that offsets surface turbulence, reducing drag from laminar airflow. Eagle-01 is a similar textile with a wind-stripe structure that channels airflow to further reduce drag. The all-new Type.959Kompressor is the same material used on the RSR Bib Shorts S11, a proprietary woven textile that's more breathable, more cooling, and more compressive than previous Kompressor materials. It also has increased abrasion resistance, integrated anti-slip properties, and UPF 50+.

Assos: measure the narrowest part of your waist, then factor in your height; use the fullest part of your hips as a third reference. Assos apparel is cut to mirror your body on the bike — it’s normal to feel bib straps and fabric pull while standing; in the riding position the garment clicks into place.

How to measure

Chest: around the fullest part, under the arms. Waist: around your natural waistline. Hips: around the fullest part. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

The skinsuit relied on by Assos’s professional athletes for competition in time trials and on the track, refined with all-new textiles to decrease weight and drag. With no storage pockets, an internal radio slot, and a transparent race number window, the RAPIDFIRE is 100% tuned for racing. Featuring a slate of new textiles, the RAPIDFIRE Chronosuit S11 represents the pinnacle of Assos’s aerodynamic technology, proven in the wind tunnel and designed with WorldTour feedback for Tudor Pro Cycling and Swiss Cycling. The new textiles are Hawk-01 on the upper body, Eagle-01 on the sleeves and lower back, and Assos’s most compressive Kompressor material on the legs. The combination provides aerodynamic upgrades with competition-tuned compression and ultralight breathability. The insert is also upgraded, with a smaller footprint, a softer top sheet, and the decreased friction of Assos’s free-floating goldenGate 2.0 construction. Certain finishing details, like the front radio pocket and the full-length front zip, add additional aerodynamic benefits and convenience for natural breaks or unzipping while warming up. Other finishing details were omitted to eliminate weight and drag – most notably storage pockets, which confirms the RAPIDFIRE as a race-day necessity. Assos also recommend always using a race number in the rear window to ensure coverage against the sun.
