What is Assos’s Endurance Series?

Assos files Mille (men) and Uma (women) in its Endurance Series, which it describes like this: “The complete endurance series. Streamlined regular fits. Ultraplush inserts. Muscle-wrapping thermoregulating textiles.” The series name is on every Assos product page, next to the product’s own 1–5 ratings for endurance, racing and ride intensity.

racingFit or regularFit — what’s the difference?

They’re Assos’s two main cuts. racingFit (Equipe and Dyora) is, in Assos’s fit guide, a close, performance-oriented fit with compressive fabrics for high-intensity riding — compared with regularFit it feels noticeably tighter by design. regularFit (Mille and Uma) is a balanced technical fit with moderately compressive fabrics: supportive without the tight feel of the Racing models. Assos uses the same size chart for both, so the difference is the feel, not the size.

How should I wash Assos cycling clothing?

Assos’s product pages don’t include care instructions, so follow the care label sewn into the garment. Assos sells its own Active Wear Cleanser, made for washing technical cycling clothing.

When to use it

The MILLE GT platform is a designed for training and endurance cycling. A lack of bibs recommends it for indoor cycling, when less is often more. A sleeveless jersey completes the minimalist kit.

Assos: measure the narrowest part of your waist, then factor in your height; use the fullest part of your hips as a third reference. Assos apparel is cut to mirror your body on the bike — it’s normal to feel bib straps and fabric pull while standing; in the riding position the garment clicks into place.

How to measure

Chest: around the fullest part, under the arms. Waist: around your natural waistline. Hips: around the fullest part. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

Bibs aren’t for everyone, but their absence compounds the difficulty of dialing the perfect ride-tuned fit. The bib-free Zero-Pressure waist embodies Assos’s C2 AEPD click-fit ethos with a secure hold on the sides and back, and a panel insert on the front stretches to accommodate aggressive positioning on the bike and deep breathing during hard efforts. The updated insert inherited increased ventilation from Assos’s premium models, and 3mm of additional thickness increase long-ride comfort.
