What is Assos’s Adventure Series?

Assos files Tactica in its Adventure Series, which it describes like this: “The ASSOS singletrack series. Mobility-enhancing fits. Built-in Protection. Flexible thermoregulating textiles. Integrated storage solutions.” The series name is on every Assos product page, next to the product’s own 1–5 ratings for endurance, racing and ride intensity.

How should I wash Assos cycling clothing?

Assos’s product pages don’t include care instructions, so follow the care label sewn into the garment. Assos sells its own Active Wear Cleanser, made for washing technical cycling clothing.

comfortFit

Assos’s streamlined regularFit provides total comfort for long rides in winter’s challenging conditions, and the updated TACTICA T5 line transitions more readily from the bike to being on foot, accommodating frequent stops during off-road riding or while touring.

Featured fabrics

HURRICANE is a 3L softshell adapted from the road-specific GT line, combining a windproof, waterproof, and breathable membrane with an ECO water-repellent treatment. Inserts of the water-repellent Sens-WR expand beneath the side zips and wrap the wrists in a gapless fit to block road spray and layer frictionlessly with gloves.

Reflective Detailing

Reflective elements on the shoulders add visibility in the low-light, overcast conditions when wind and rain protection are most valuable.

Taped Seams

Absolute reinforcement for absolutely watertight protection against precipitation and puddle splash.

Zippered Pocket

Secure, protective storage for personal effects and ride essentials.

Description

A lightweight, waterproof jacket for year-round riding in variable conditions, updated with a comfort-tuned fit for adventure cycling, low-intensity touring, and daily commuting. Not every ride is a one-day classic or a competitive gravel epic, and the TACTICA Rain Jacket T5 is engineered for days spent exploring rather than racing. The cut is more casual, with side vents that unzip to expand the waist and a ¾ front zip, but the textile is pure performance. HURRICANE is a rainproof, windproof softshell that actively expels internal moisture to maintain a dry microclimate. It also resists abrasion to protect against brush, gravel, and the daily abuse of touring or commuting. For comfort off the bike or during casual rides, the side zips reveal expanding panels of Sens WR, a lightweight textile that also vents internal heat while repelling water. For touring and ultra-endurance riding, the lightweight construction compresses for storage in a backpack or bike bag, ensuring you’re always prepared for changing weather.
