What is Assos’s Endurance Series?

Assos files Mille (men) and Uma (women) in its Endurance Series, which it describes like this: “The complete endurance series. Streamlined regular fits. Ultraplush inserts. Muscle-wrapping thermoregulating textiles.” The series name is on every Assos product page, next to the product’s own 1–5 ratings for endurance, racing and ride intensity.

racingFit or regularFit — what’s the difference?

They’re Assos’s two main cuts. racingFit (Equipe and Dyora) is, in Assos’s fit guide, a close, performance-oriented fit with compressive fabrics for high-intensity riding — compared with regularFit it feels noticeably tighter by design. regularFit (Mille and Uma) is a balanced technical fit with moderately compressive fabrics: supportive without the tight feel of the Racing models. Assos uses the same size chart for both, so the difference is the feel, not the size.

How should I wash Assos cycling clothing?

Assos’s product pages don’t include care instructions, so follow the care label sewn into the garment. Assos sells its own Active Wear Cleanser, made for washing technical cycling clothing.

Featured fabrics

The front panel, back panel, and outwards facing surface of the sleeves feature Buster textile, a close-knit woven material reinforced with water repellency to block wind and light precipitation or road spray. The sides and inner sleeves are made of Sens Air, which adds additional elasticity and breathability in less-exposed areas.

A windproof, water-repellent jacket for cycling in cool, wet conditions, updated with a more packable main textile, full protection on the back panel, and a double-slider zipper. The hardest part about riding in challenging, changing conditions in spring and fall is choosing the right kit. The GT Wind Jacket S11 solves that problem with the new Breaker textile, a breathable, windproof, and water-repellent woven material that covers the jacket’s front, back, and forward-facing panel of the sleeves. It also compresses to a smaller volume than previous model’s textile, so it can be stowed in a jersey pocket, only deploying when needed. Highly elastic, highly breathable inserts on the body’s sides and the sleeves’ inner arms improve fit, and the double-slider zipper lets you vent from top or bottom while easily accessing jersey pockets underneath.
