Aerodynamics by Swiss Side: vortex generators

The aero-optimised tread carries 48 small cavities spread over its surface. Continental says these vortex generators control the turbulence in the airflow over the front wheel and keep it attached to the rim, reducing the drag of the whole wheel–tyre system and improving crosswind stability. BlackChili Compound (race-optimised)

BlackChili is known for its balance of grip and low rolling resistance. For the AERO 111 Continental uses a race-optimised BlackChili, which it says combines low rolling resistance with excellent grip in wet and dry conditions.

Vectran Breaker
