PureGrip Compound

A compound derived from activated silica that sits alongside BlackChili in Continental’s range. Continental says exceptionally good grip and durability are its distinguishing features; it is used in its Performance road and mountain-bike tyres.

ShieldWall System

An additional all-round puncture-protection layer made of a finely woven cross fabric. Continental says it combines high puncture protection with low rolling resistance and low weight, and that despite the extra ply the tyre keeps very good damping and adapts closely to the ground. Its tubeless-ready bead is designed for easy mounting; Continental recommends Conti RevoSealant for sealing.

Tubeless Ready (TR)

Continental says its TR casing is robust against damage and penetration from foreign objects, and that TR tyres can be run tubeless or with an inner tube. For the first tubeless mounting Continental recommends at least 30 ml of Conti RevoSealant per tyre: spin the wheel to spread it, pump to the allowed maximum pressure and check the pressure again before the next ride.

E-bike approval

Continental draws on more than 100 years of moped and motorcycle tyres for its e-bike tyres. Tyres marked E25 are approved for e-bikes up to 25 km/h; those marked E50 are also certified for S-Pedelecs up to 50 km/h. Terra Hardpack or Terra Speed?

Both are fast gravel tyres.
