Who is the Apex Aeon Jersey for?

Riders who go long rather than fast. MAAP builds it on Polartec® Delta™ (a polyester-lyocell blend) for evaporative cooling, so sweat spreads and dries instead of clinging, and rates it for 18–35 °C. It is Core Fit with raglan sleeves and "Endurance" aerodynamics: comfort first. Racers wanting a tight, fast jersey should look at the Pro Air 3.0 or Emerge instead.

How does MAAP sizing run? Should I size up for a Race Fit jersey?

MAAP uses one men's chart for all its jerseys: chest 94–100 cm is an M, for example (see the size guide). Race Fit jerseys are cut close and compressive, so they feel tighter than a Core Fit jersey in the same size, but MAAP does not tell you to size up. Its advice: between two sizes, take the smaller for a tighter fit or the larger for a looser one, and if chest and waist disagree, go by your chest.

Apex Aeon Jersey or Training Jersey 2.0?

Both are Core Fit, comfort-first jerseys. The Apex Aeon (150–155 g) uses Polartec® Delta™ for evaporative cooling and MAAP rates it one step higher for breathability ("Advanced" vs "Balanced"), so it suits long, hot days. The Training Jersey 2.0 is lighter at 130 g, in a soft recycled polyamide, and is the simpler everyday jersey.

What is the difference between MAAP Race Fit and Core Fit?

MAAP defines Race Fit as "a body-mapped fit designed for maximum aerodynamic efficiency" (Pro Air 3.0, Pro Race, Pro Aero, Emerge) and Core Fit as "a streamlined, athletic profile" (Training 2.0, Apex Aeon, Alt_Road, thermals). Both are close to the body; Race Fit is the tighter, more compressive one that stays flat at speed, Core Fit leaves a little more room for long days. Both use the same size chart.

Core Fit

MAAP’s Core Fit: “a streamlined, athletic profile”, in MAAP’s words. Close to the body, with a little more room than Race Fit for long days; both fits use the same size chart.

Polartec® Delta™

An evaporative cooling fabric that, MAAP says, draws sweat away from the body and disperses it faster, reducing wet cling in warm conditions.

Low collar, raglan sleeves

A streamlined, minimal design with a low-profile collar and raglan sleeves for freedom of movement on long days, MAAP says.

Back pockets + hidden zip

Easy-access back pockets with a bonded top edge, plus a concealed zip pocket for valuables.

Seamless hem, back gripper

A seamless front hem for comfort; the back hem gripper stabilises the fit and stops the fabric bunching or riding up, MAAP says.

MAAP: if you are on the borderline between two sizes, order the smaller size for a tighter fit or the larger size for a looser fit. If your chest and waist point to different sizes, go by your chest. MAAP uses this one chart for all its men's jerseys, Race Fit and Core Fit alike; its models (about 187 cm) wear a size S.

How to measure

Chest: around the fullest part, under the arms. Waist: around your natural waistline. Hips: around the fullest part. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

Description

A comfort-first jersey for long, warm rides: Core Fit with raglan sleeves in Polartec® Delta™, a polyester-lyocell fabric MAAP uses for evaporative cooling so sweat spreads and dries instead of clinging. MAAP lists 150–155 g and rates it for 18–35 °C. It is not a race jersey: MAAP rates its aerodynamics "Endurance", so riders who want a tight, fast fit should choose the Emerge or Pro Air 3.0.
