How does MAAP women’s sizing run?

MAAP sizes its women’s jerseys by chest and waist on its own women’s chart: XS is an 80–85 cm chest and 63–68 cm waist, S 85–90 / 68–73 cm, M 90–95 / 73–78 cm (full table in the size guide). MAAP’s advice: between two sizes, take the smaller for a tighter fit or the larger for a looser one, and if chest and waist point to different sizes, go by the chest. For reference, the model on most of these MAAP pages is 178 cm with an 81 cm bust and 64 cm waist and wears XS. The chart covers XXS–XL; a few 2026 styles also come in XXXS or XXL, which MAAP’s chart doesn’t list.

Is the merino Alt_Road jersey good for gravel and warm days?

It’s MAAP’s gravel and adventure jersey. The short sleeve is 49% nylon, 47% virgin wool and 4% elastane, 150 g, rated 8–30 °C with UPF 50+, with a stretch-ripstop Cordura® pocket, ripstop side panels and a zip stash pocket. The Alt_Road LS 2.0 is a lighter-feeling gridded blend (64% polyester, 36% wool, 200 g, 18–30 °C) with a 4-pocket Cordura® system. Both are Core Fit. For the very hottest days MAAP rates the Pro Air 3.0 higher (22–40 °C).

Is it cut for women or is it a unisex jersey?

It’s MAAP’s women’s version, sold separately from the men’s and sized on MAAP’s women’s chart (XXS–XL, chest 76–105 cm), whereas the men’s chart runs XS–XXL with an 83–117 cm chest. MAAP’s current product pages don’t spell out how the women’s pattern differs, so we won’t guess; the size guide is the reliable reference.

Q: What’s the difference between MAAP’s Race Fit and Core Fit?

MAAP uses two fits on these women’s jerseys. Race Fit, which MAAP describes as compressive and second-skin, is on the Pro Air 3.0 and 2.0, Pro Race, Pro Aero and Pro Emerge (including the Thermal). Core Fit, described as a streamlined silhouette in softer materials for comfort and freedom of movement, is on the Apex Aeon, Training 2.0, Alt_Road and Halo Team Thermal. Choose Race Fit if you want the jersey snug at speed, Core Fit if you’d rather not feel compression on long days.
