What is AARTERO™ Flyte and who is the Pro Aero Jersey for?

AARTERO™ Flyte is MAAP's own ultralight, micro-perforated fabric, which MAAP says was developed and verified at WorldTour level with Jayco AlUla and Liv AlUla Jayco to improve airflow and cooling while reducing drag. The Pro Aero Jersey (100 g, Race Fit) pairs it with air-channelled sleeves optimised above 40 km/h, so it is for racing and fast group rides; MAAP rates it for 18–35 °C. For slower, longer days a Core Fit jersey is more comfortable.

How does MAAP sizing run? Should I size up for a Race Fit jersey?

MAAP uses one men's chart for all its jerseys: chest 94–100 cm is an M, for example (see the size guide). Race Fit jerseys are cut close and compressive, so they feel tighter than a Core Fit jersey in the same size, but MAAP does not tell you to size up. Its advice: between two sizes, take the smaller for a tighter fit or the larger for a looser one, and if chest and waist disagree, go by your chest.

What is the difference between MAAP Race Fit and Core Fit?

MAAP defines Race Fit as "a body-mapped fit designed for maximum aerodynamic efficiency" (Pro Air 3.0, Pro Race, Pro Aero, Emerge) and Core Fit as "a streamlined, athletic profile" (Training 2.0, Apex Aeon, Alt_Road, thermals). Both are close to the body; Race Fit is the tighter, more compressive one that stays flat at speed, Core Fit leaves a little more room for long days. Both use the same size chart.

Q: Pro Aero Jersey or Pro Race Jersey?

Both carry MAAP's top "Race" aerodynamics rating and a Race Fit. The Pro Aero is the more specialised one: 100 g (MAAP), made from MAAP's micro-perforated AARTERO™ Flyte fabric developed with its WorldTour teams, with air-channelled sleeves optimised above 40 km/h. The Pro Race Jersey is heavier at 150–151 g and a little more of an all-rounder for hard training and races.

MAAP: if you are on the borderline between two sizes, order the smaller size for a tighter fit or the larger size for a looser fit. If your chest and waist point to different sizes, go by your chest. MAAP uses this one chart for all its men's jerseys, Race Fit and Core Fit alike; its models (about 187 cm) wear a size S.

Chest: around the fullest part, under the arms. Waist: around your natural waistline. Hips: around the fullest part. Keep the tape snug but not tight.
