Are Strata, Pulse, Spectrum, Blur or WorldTour different jerseys?

No. On maap.cc they are all the Pro Air Jersey 3.0 (or Pro Air LS Jersey 3.0) with a different capsule print: Strata, Pulse, Spectrum, Blur, Drome, Aerate, Blaze, Chroma, Evade X, Halo, WorldTour 26, the Privateer riders' designs and MAAP x P.A.M. MAAP lists the same fabric, weight and features for all of them, so choose by colour and by the sizes we have in stock.

How does MAAP sizing run? Should I size up for a Race Fit jersey?

MAAP uses one men's chart for all its jerseys: chest 94–100 cm is an M, for example (see the size guide). Race Fit jerseys are cut close and compressive, so they feel tighter than a Core Fit jersey in the same size, but MAAP does not tell you to size up. Its advice: between two sizes, take the smaller for a tighter fit or the larger for a looser one, and if chest and waist disagree, go by your chest.

What changed from the Pro Air Jersey 2.0 to the 3.0?

By MAAP's own figures the 3.0 is much lighter: 110 g for the short sleeve, against 150–180 g listed for 2.0 colours. The 3.0 moves to micro-perforated, mostly recycled fabrics with open mesh zones and adds a zipped stash pocket, which MAAP flags as new. The 2.0's selling points were carbon-yarn warp-knit sleeves and a locking YKK zip. Fit stays Race Fit.

Is the Pro Air Jersey 3.0 good for very hot days?

It is MAAP's hot-weather jersey: MAAP rates it for 22–40 °C and gives it its top "Elite" rating for breathability and for shedding heat. The flip side is that it is thin; below about 20 °C most riders will want a base layer, a gilet or a warmer jersey. MAAP publishes no UPF figure for it.

Pro Air Jersey 3.0 or Training Jersey 2.0?

The Pro Air 3.0 is the racer: Race Fit, 110 g, micro-perforated fabric rated "Elite" for breathability by MAAP, for hot days and fast rides. The Training Jersey 2.0 is the everyday jersey: Core Fit with a little more room, 130 g, soft recycled Italian fabric, rated "Balanced" for breathability and "Endurance" for aero. If you ride most days and want one jersey that forgives, pick the Training; if you race or ride hard in the heat, the Pro Air.

Race Fit

MAAP’s Race Fit: in MAAP’s words, “a body-mapped fit designed for maximum aerodynamic efficiency”. It is the tighter, more compressive of MAAP’s two fits and stays flat at speed; both fits use the same size chart.

Micro-perforated fabric

MAAP says the micro-perforated fabrics, made mostly from recycled yarns, give optimal airflow in warm conditions, with open mesh zones placed for high-intensity efforts.

Seamless hem, back gripper

An integrated seamless front hem and a gripper on the back hem keep the jersey stable on the bike, MAAP says.

MAAP: if you are on the borderline between two sizes, order the smaller size for a tighter fit or the larger size for a looser fit. If your chest and waist point to different sizes, go by your chest. MAAP uses this one chart for all its men's jerseys, Race Fit and Core Fit alike; its models (about 187 cm) wear a size S.
