What is Assos’s Racing Series?

Assos files Equipe (men) and Dyora (women) in its Racing Series, which it describes like this: “The definitive speed series. Second-skin aerodynamic fits. Compressive thermoregulating textiles. Ultralight WorldTour-proven designs.” The series name is on every Assos product page, next to the product’s own 1–5 ratings for endurance, racing and ride intensity.

racingFit or regularFit — what’s the difference?

They’re Assos’s two main cuts. racingFit (Equipe and Dyora) is, in Assos’s fit guide, a close, performance-oriented fit with compressive fabrics for high-intensity riding — compared with regularFit it feels noticeably tighter by design. regularFit (Mille and Uma) is a balanced technical fit with moderately compressive fabrics: supportive without the tight feel of the Racing models. Assos uses the same size chart for both, so the difference is the feel, not the size.

How should I wash Assos cycling clothing?

Assos’s product pages don’t include care instructions, so follow the care label sewn into the garment. Assos sells its own Active Wear Cleanser, made for washing technical cycling clothing.

Featured fabrics

At just 60g/m², THUNDER hardshell is Assos’s lightest stormproof membrane. It’s constructed with a hyper-thin woven face fabric, a super-breathable and waterproof membrane, and an open-knitted lining. Despite by its weight, Thunder ensures unreal protection values, making it the lightweight pinnacle of Assos’s stormproof textiles. DIAMOND Ultra is a proprietary 2L membrane that represents a more protective, more elastic upgrade to Assos’s SPHERE softshell family. This highly elastic textile is Assos’s lightest DIAMOND material, and it confers premium breathability, waterproof protection, and a second-skin, pressure-free fit.

A double-zip construction that allows ventilation from top or bottom. An auto-alignment design guides the sliders into engagement for operation with gloves or in inclement weather conditions.

Completely waterproof with a low-volume, ultra-elastic second-skin fit. Primary concerns for a shell jacket are weight, packability, breathability, and waterproofing. The SCHLOSSHUND S11 makes zero compromises in any of them. The all-new THUNDER textile is Assos’s lightest stormproof membrane. It’s also Assos’s most breathable, making it an ideal outer layer for high-intensity efforts in even the most challenging conditions. Targeted panels of the new DIAMOND Ultra maintain complete stormproof protection while adding elasticity across the stomach and alongside the zipper, ensuring a rustle-free, second-skin fit. The zipper is double-sided, so you can access pockets or vent from the bottom without exposing your chest, and the fastClosure design guides the sliders together for easy use with gloves or during full-gas efforts.
