racingFit or regularFit — what’s the difference?

They’re Assos’s two main cuts. racingFit (Equipe and Dyora) is, in Assos’s fit guide, a close, performance-oriented fit with compressive fabrics for high-intensity riding — compared with regularFit it feels noticeably tighter by design. regularFit (Mille and Uma) is a balanced technical fit with moderately compressive fabrics: supportive without the tight feel of the Racing models. Assos uses the same size chart for both, so the difference is the feel, not the size.

How should I wash Assos cycling clothing?

Assos’s product pages don’t include care instructions, so follow the care label sewn into the garment. Assos sells its own Active Wear Cleanser, made for washing technical cycling clothing.

The foundational layer for riding in cool conditions, reengineered to increase core warmth, boost breathability, and add coverage across the throat while reducing weight compared to the previous generation. The new Spring Fall Skin Layer is 15% lighter than its predecessor. Despite those lost grams, it also has increased collar coverage, improved odorControl, and a more streamlined, body-mapped fit. The textile is woven tighter on the front panel to provide more insulation where warmth is critical. On the back and under the arms, a more open weave increases breathability and works to actively modulate your microclimate’s temperature, expelling excess body warmth to prevent overheating during full-gas efforts.
