How does Fizik sizing work, and do you have half sizes?

Fizik sizes its shoes by foot length: measure your foot in millimetres, heel to longest toe, and read the size from Fizik’s table in the size guide — 263.5 mm is EU 41, 270 mm is EU 42, 277 mm is EU 43. Fizik makes these road shoes from EU 36 to 48, with half sizes from 37.5 to 46.5. We stock whole sizes only, so compare your measurement with the table before ordering.

Is the Lyra a women’s shoe or a wide fit?

Neither. Fizik lists the Lyra as a regular-fit road shoe in EU 36–48 and doesn’t describe it as women’s-specific. What sets its fit apart is the shape: a rounder, slightly wider toe box and reduced drop, which Fizik says gives a more natural, supportive fit for endurance riding.

Both are nylon-composite road shoes for training and long rides. The Lyra steps up with a stiffer outsole (index 8 vs 6), two Li2 BOA dials instead of one L6, an engineered mesh upper and Fizik’s newer shape with a rounder toe box and reduced drop (259 g, €249 RRP). The Omna is lighter at 238 g and cheaper at €149 RRP, with a PU upper and a cleat position set slightly back.

How stiff are Fizik’s road soles?

Fizik rates each outsole on its own stiffness index. In the Vento road shoes we carry, the Vega Carbon, Vento Powerstrap Aeroweave and PNS Mechanism are 10 (full carbon, which Fizik calls its most responsive), the Lyra is 8 and the Vento Omna is 6 (both nylon composite). Higher is stiffer and more direct; the lower numbers trade some directness for comfort on long rides. It’s Fizik’s own scale, so compare within Fizik rather than against other brands’ numbers.

Stand on a sheet of paper with your heel against a wall, mark the tip of your longest toe and measure the distance in centimetres. Measure both feet and go by the longer one.
