KASK Sintesi or Mojito 3?

Both are claimed at around 230 g in a medium and both pass KASK's WG11 test, so this is about money and fit rather than safety. The Sintesi is the entry-level model, launched in 2022 with 13 vents and the simpler Ergo Fit dial; the Mojito 3 costs more and brings the Octo Fit cradle with gel pads. If you are buying your first good road helmet, the Sintesi is the sensible one.

Do KASK helmets have MIPS?

No. Instead of the MIPS liner, KASK tests every helmet to its own WG11 rotational impact protocol, developed with the European standards working group that measures shock absorption from oblique as well as direct impacts. KASK helmets are also certified to EN 1078, CPSC 1203 and AS/NZS 2063.

How do I choose the right helmet size?

Measure your head with a tape about one centimetre above the eyebrows, at the widest point, and match that to the model's size range. On the KASK Mojito 3 for example small covers 50-56 cm, medium 52-58 cm and large 59-62 cm. If you fall between two sizes, head shape decides it, so come and try both in the shop.

WG11

KASK's own rotational-impact test protocol, developed with the European standards working group WG11. Every KASK helmet is tested for oblique as well as direct impacts, on top of EN 1078, CPSC 1203 and AS/NZS 2063 certification. KASK uses it instead of a MIPS liner.

Ergo Fit

The retention system on the Sintesi. A simpler dial than Octo Fit, shaped to hold the helmet steady on rough surfaces, which is why KASK offers the Sintesi for gravel and commuting as well as road.

Blue Tech padding

The removable lining in the Sintesi. KASK specifies it as breathable, antibacterial and antistatic, which is what keeps an entry-level helmet comfortable on hot commutes and long training rides.
