The Dottore Clima is the summer shoe from Q36.5’s Clima collection: a seamless UNIBODY knit upper, glue-free and without TPU, on a zone-mapped carbon outsole with ‘positive flexibility’, 270 g in EU 42, standard 3-bolt. Choose the Unique Pro for maximum directness and racing; the Dottore Clima for a sock-like fit in hot weather.

Does the Dottore Clima’s knit upper stretch, and is it only for hot weather?

The UNIBODY knit is 55% polyester, 30% polyamide and 15% elastane (Q36.5), knitted in variable densities: firmer where you need support, more open for airflow. Q36.5 adds a thermoplastic Power Wrap Support around the instep so the light knit still holds the foot, with two BOA dials on top. Q36.5 publishes no stretch figure. It belongs to Q36.5’s summer Clima collection and is built for breathability and moisture transfer in the warmest conditions — for cold or wet riding, pair it with overshoes.

How do Q36.5 shoes size — should I size down in the Unique Pro?

Q36.5 gives one chart for its shoes (EU 42 = 27 cm, 43 = 27.7 cm, 44 = 28.4 cm) plus two brand-comparison tables, and they differ by model. For the Unique Pro, Q36.5 pairs its EU 42 with a Specialized, Shimano, Nimbl or Sidi 43 and a Fizik or Rapha 42 — so if you wear a 43 in Specialized or Shimano, Q36.5 points you to a 42. For its Clima shoes, including the Dottore Clima, 42 equals a Specialized, Nimbl or DMT 42 and a Shimano or Sidi 43. road.cc’s tester found the Unique Pro 4.0 true to size against his other shoes, so measure your foot and check your own brand in the size guide. Carbon sole

The sole plate is made of carbon fibre rather than nylon or carbon-reinforced nylon. Carbon is stiffer and lighter, so less of your effort is lost to flex; the brand’s stiffness index is in the spec table.

UNIBODY knitted upper

A seamless, very light and breathable knit made with variable densities for the right mix of support and airflow. Q36.5 builds it without TPU reinforcements, so the construction is glue-free, which it says further improves airflow. Composition: 55% polyester, 30% polyamide, 15% elastane.

Carbon outsole

An outsole in aerospace-grade carbon fibre designed around the foot’s natural movement. Q36.5 says a zone-mapped design gives ‘positive flexibility’: a rebound effect that reduces pressure on the tendons and muscle overload.

BOA Fit System

Two BOA dials give a secure hold and work with the Power Wrap Support of the UNIBODY construction to increase arch support and stability, which Q36.5 says improves power transfer. Mid-ride micro-adjustments are easy even with gloves on.

Power Wrap Support

A thermoplastic reinforcement inside the upper that wraps the instep for a snug, stable fit, adding stability despite the light feel of the knit. Q36.5 says it maximises power output.

Solestar footbed

Solestar footbed comes included. Q36.5 says it places the foot in the Optimal Neutral Position to improve comfort, stability and propulsion.

A unique last

The foundation of Q36.5’s shoe design: a hand-shaped custom last with firm heel retention and an instep that follows the foot’s natural contours. A roomy toe box, Q36.5 says, suits a broad majority of foot widths.
