Founded by Amber and Christian Meier, La Fàbrica connects Girona’s cycling scene with specialty coffee and generous breakfasts. Tucked into Carrer de la Llebre, it is a good place to settle in before exploring the old town.

Espresso Mafia grew out of the Meiers’ interest in roasting their own coffee after opening La Fàbrica. Visit for a coffee-focused stop in the old town and ask about the beans being served rather than expecting to see roasting on every visit.
Carrer de la Cort Reial, 5, Girona
Nora and Jannik bring coffee and art together at Oniria. Rotating guest roasters, artisan baking and vegan options make it a good choice when your group has different tastes. Its welcoming space is an invitation to slow down.
Carrer del Nord, 11, Girona
Hors Catégorie, also presented as HC Bike Coffee, pairs cycling culture with coffee and food. Our original guide recommended it for breakfast or a meal after riding, with the salmon poke among the favourites. Check the current menu and any race-screening plans.

Federal is a brunch stop on Carrer de la Força. Our original picks were eggs Benedict and truffled potatoes. Confirm the current menu and bike-storage arrangements with the café.

Created by Jan and Emma Frodeno, La Comuna brings a sporting atmosphere to a meal before or after a ride. Seasonal food is part of its appeal; our original post-ride suggestion was a breakfast burrito and kombucha.
Carrer de Bellcaire, 7, Girona
Eat Sleep Cycle Café is another stop in Girona’s cycling community, with coffee and food near the Rambla. Its terrace makes it an option for regrouping after a ride; check opening times and availability directly before bringing a large group.
Carrer de l’Albereda, 15, Girona
La Maglia in Platja d’Aro is a coastal café stop for a longer outing from Girona. Our original guide suggested coffee and a bagel before the return. Keep the linked itinerary as a planning reference and check its distance against your available time.

Rustik Empordà in Bellcaire combines breakfast and brunch with a cycling-friendly setting. Loaded toast and filled croissants were favourites in our original guide, especially chocolate and banana. The linked gravel itinerary offers one way to include the stop.

Grava in Pals combines specialty coffee with food and an outdoor setting beneath the medieval village. Its own current information highlights wood-fired pizza. Combine a stop with a village visit, and use the linked route to plan the journey from Girona.

La Nevateria’s bakery workshop in the Les Mates area of Olot makes bread and pastries. Our original guide suggested coffee and a doughnut here. The workshop has its own opening hours, separate from the market location: check before making it your refuelling stop.
